Bio

Andrew Peters is a freelance director from Maryland residing in Chicago, Illinois. Recent directing credits include Young Jean Lee’s Lear (Single Carrot Theatre, Baltimore, MD),  16-Bit Coriolanus (adapted and co-directed with Kelvin Wong at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia), Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice (Stevenson University, Stevenson, MD), Jenny Schwartz’s God’s Ear, Denis O’Hare/Lisa Peterson’s An Iliad, Noah Haidle’s Vigils, and Rajiv Joseph’s Gruesome Playground Injuries (all at the Theatre School in Chicago). In Chicago, he was also an artistic intern at Victory Gardens Theatre. Andrew is the former founding Artistic Director of Glass Mind Theatre, and has directed for Chicago & Baltimore’s One Minute Play Festival, the Community College of Baltimore County, and the Baltimore Playwrights Festival. He holds an MFA in Directing from The Theatre School at DePaul U., a dual Bachelors from Towson University (Towson, MD) and is a freelance graphic designer and video editor.
